Thank you for your support in Spell Bee. Here is your role and some important points to keep in mind:
Encourage Participation: Continue to encourage your students to participate.
Registration: All participating students should register in their student app to obtain an accurate count.
Prelims Location: For most Paatshaalas, Spell Bee Prelims will be conducted in Paatshaala. Refer to the list of centers for Chennai Zone.Â
Centre Permissions: Please ensure you get necessary permission from your trust to use the centre facilities. Neither can SKS give those permissions NOR will it facilititate it.
Question Paper: The question paper will be available in the app as a PDF on June 9th 6AM. Please download it and have printouts ready. You can see the number of students registered in your app for taking printouts.
Preparation: Reach your centre by 1:30 PM to make preparations at the centre before students arrive
Start Time: Prelims will start at 2:30 PM. Students should report by 2:00 PM to receive instructions.
Roll Numbers: Students should only write their 6-character roll number in this format: YXXXXX (e.g., Y12345). They should not write their name or any other details.
Question Format: The prelim will consist of MCQ and one-word answer questions. Refer to the model paper.
Answer Sheet: Answers should be written on the question paper itself.
End Time: The prelims end at 3:00 PM. Please collect the answer papers at 3:00 PM.
Answer Key: The answer key will be shared in the app on June 10th.
Correction: Correct the papers using the answer key. You may seek assistance from the Paatshaala teacher.
Score Entry: Enter the scores in the app by June 19th. When you enter the score, attendance is automatically marked. Scores entered after June 19th will not be considered for finals but will still receive participation points.
Fair Process: Ensure a fair process so the most deserving candidates advance to the next stage.
Overall Selection: A certain number of students across all Paatshaalas will qualify for the finals.
Paatshaala Quota: Depending on the size of the Paatshaala, no more than 3 students per age group per Paatshaala may qualify for the next stage. For smaller Paatshaalas, one student per age group will be selected from a group of such small Paatshaalas.
Review: SKS will review and consider additional factors before selecting candidates for the finals.
Results Announcement: Results will be announced on June 23rd, and points will be updated in the app by July 15th.
Final Decision: The SKS decision will be final.
